Anhui province, eastern China. Anhui Shunying Traffic Engineering Co. used a
PL 45.20 asphalt planer, sold by our importer ATE, for
road surface maintenance work. On high-traffic roads, where it is not possible to completely block the vehicular traffic, the
PL 45.20 for compact loaders proved to be the ideal solution for milling, at various depths, for the subsequent restoration of the surface course.
Simex planers offer operators a qualitative approach that allows the intervention to last over time, while containing costs and processing times. PL cold planers play a crucial role in the
functional surface interventions, which significantly delay the deterioration of road pavements.
Simex PL 45.20 has completely satisfied the operator, who has been able to make the most of the various functions available with the attachment: thanks to the s
elf-leveling system combined with the independent depth adjustment on RH and LH sides, the operator achieved
perfectly flat surfaces with side-by-side passes, granting a
constant planing depth and, as a result, a perfect leveling of the milling surface with no unmilled material between. The
floating transverse tilt allowed the operator to keep the
prime mover perfectly aligned to the road surface, regardless of the ground contour. Hydraulic depth regulation and the self-leveling system have enabled the operator to create a "double-step" on the sides of the milled surface, which increases the asphalt durability after the paving, preventing water seepage and subsequent pavement cracks and potholes.
With a
productivity of 400 meters per hour at a set depth of 50 mm, the attachment has proved to be an added value in the Chinese company's fleet, thanks to its versatility. The
PL 45.20 road planer combines structural compactness with high performance and has immediately met the customer approval.
Simex offers a wide range of solutions for the road maintenance industry, aimed at restoring deterioration of the surface course, discouraging an emergency type approach, repeated over time, in favor of a technical-based maintenance planning, which guarantees effective and visible results to the benefit of road safety.
